THE DIAMOND DAYS..

He was just 2 and I was 4;
One side covered by him
While the other was mine.
Possessive for the mother's lap
It was a great time.

Holding his hands,
Escaping from little pebbles;
We used to head towards
The unknown directions.

Scolding him for the pleasure;
Like the teacher scolds in schools;
Was my favorite crime;
But it had rolled the tears
From his eyes sometimes.

The innocent discussions
And the fictional wishes.
Wish we could go back
To live them today.

Being an elder, I always ordered
And he was the one to obey.
I thought of him as a little baby
And he was the one to enjoy.

How the time flies;
No one can measure.
Now we both are grown up
Beating the time of life.

But the scene just got reversed.
Now he is elder to me;
In experience and earning also.
But when it comes to teasing;
He is just 4 and I am only 2...
